2026

July:
- qCCL 2026 in Aalborg, Denmark for qCCL 2026. On exactly the same day ten years earlier I was also in Denmark for a workshop. Prepared my slides using Quarto for the first time.
- 全国量子控制会议 (National Symposium on Quantum Control) 2026 in Shenyang, China in July 10-12.
May: A short vacation in Tokyo.
March: Gave a talk and chaired a session in Hong Kong for APSHK 2026.
February: Traveled to Harbin, China, the city I grew up, for Chinese New Year with family.
January:
- My first QIP, in Riga, Latvia, a lot of fun.
- I DJed a NYE party at CaveCave in Shenzhen.

2025

October:
- I DJed a Halloween party on Halloween night at a secret venue.
- A short vacation in Guizhou. Saw some Miao villages, had some southwest Chinese food.
September:
- Went to Hefei for ICEQT, travelled to Suzhou in the middle to give another talk then went back to Hefei again. I do not recommend this type of arrangement.
- Turned a vague research idea into a QIP submission in only one month. An intense month but it actually became real.
August:
- AQIS 2025 in Hong Kong. My first quantum info / highly theoretical conference. I think I like it better than regular physics conferences.
- In Guilin for 全国量子物理青年学者研讨会 (National Symposium on Quantum Physics for Young Scholars). Pity I didn’t have time to explore Yangshuo, it looked so beautiful when I passed through it by train.
July:
- CQCC 2025 in Chengdu. Flight attendants gave me a birthday card. Chengdu is awesome as always.
- 全国量子控制会议 (National Symposium on Quantum Control) 2025 in Changchun, China.
May:
- I DJed a Berlin style underground party in Shenzhen.
- Went to VAC music festival in Zhuhai, China. Finally got to see Skrillex live :D
March: Gave a talk in APSHK 2025.
January:
- Shared my two cents about noise robustness on quantum machine learning at a forum in Sanya, China.
- My first real trip to Japan. Went to Kansei area and had some reaaaally nice Kobe beef steak :D
